We were so inspired by Tyneside’s Wool Against Weapons knitters visiting the Angel of the North, we thought we’d do try to get a photo of our proud knitters showing their wares at RAF Fylingdales. So knitters and supporter will be travelling over on Saturday 21st June having a photoshoot on the public bridleway in front of the Pyramid, a short vigil by the gates and a picnic lunch if it’s a nice day. Bring your knitting and we’ll see just how far we’ve got already.
Wool Against Weapons June 21st 12.30-2.30pm. Meet at the entrance to the access road to Fylingdales base on A169 for a spectacular display of our pieces of knitted scarf.
Car parking at Ellerbeck(free) or Hole of Horcum(pay). It is possible to arrive from leeds/york/Pickering by public transport – Coastliner buses drop off at the entrance.
If you have transport or need transport, do get in touch – matt@yorkshirecnd.org.uk (places south) / andrewgray123@virginmedia.com or robinandsylvia@aol.com (places north)
