On 4th October, there will be a major demonstration to mark the opening of the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester. We’ve invited peace activists from around the country to join our Scrap Trident bloc on the demo. To get the anti-Trident message out, we’ve printed hundreds of placards but really need help putting them together. Non-Violent Direct Action training, 17th September, 7pm – 9pm, Friends Meeting House, Manchester
The People’s Assembly have called for five days of action from 3rd to 7th October around the Conservative Party’s Annual Conference to challenge their austerity agenda and show them they’re unwelcome in Manchester. Greater Manchester & District CND will be hosting a direct action training workshop for any campaigners interested in learning more or who planning an action during the conference. It will be accessible for any levels of experience and cover a basic introduction to Direct Action, effective and safe blockading, brainstorming sessions and more.
