Events are taking place across the region to mark the centenary of the end of the first world world, the war that was meant to end all wars.
November 10th – Leeds – Remembrance is not Enough
November 11th – Songs for Peace – Bradford
Our annual event at Bradford Cenotaph (1pm), will this year feature the East Lancs Clarion Choir, members of Silsden Singers and others alongside the songs and wreath laying. After the ceremony the song will continue (alongside hot soup and refreshments) at Glyde House.
If your group would like to contribute a song or reading or lay a wreath, that would be wonderful please contact us.
November 22nd – This Evil Thing – York
THIS EVIL THING is the compelling, shocking and inspiring story of the men who said no to war; a rarely told story involving a dizzying journey from a chapel in Yorkshire to the House of Commons; from an English country garden to a quarry in Aberdeen; from a cell in Richmond Castle to a firing squad in France.
