1. Saturday 5th October – Fylingdales, North Yorkshire
Yorkshire CND will be visiting ‘RAF Yorkshire CND are organising a demonstration/ base walk / vigil at RAF Fylingdales on Saturday 5th October. We will meet at 12.30 at the Hole of Horcum car park on the A169, but please contact the office for more information, and for details of transport.
2: Tuesday 8 October 2013 – Demo 6-8pm at Menwith Hill, NSA Spy base in Yorkshire.
We will focus on the issue of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (DRONES) in particular and
US Missile Defense in general at the weekly Tuesday pm demonstration. At the gates of NSA Menwith Hill – key to both concerns – near Harrogate North Yorkshire HG3 2RF
We are privileged to be joined by Brian Terrell who spent 6 months in a US prison for a protest at White Air Force base where US Drones are operated from.

Regis Tremblay’s documentary film The Ghosts of Jeju is an inspiring and moving account of the history and on-going struggle of the Korean people to stop the building of a huge US Naval base on the beautiful island of Jeju. The film recounts the horrific massacre of thousands of Jeju Islanders by US commanded forces in 1948 to explain today’s fierce opposition to the militarisation of, ‘The Island of Peace’ www.theghostsofjeju.net
The Campaign for the Accountability of American Bases (CAAB)will be showing this film as part of international protests called for by the Global Network Against Weapons and Power in Space – “KEEP SPACE FOR PEACE WEEK” (5-12 October 2013)
5. Monday 14 October 2013
Mayor Kang of Jeju Island campaign against US Missile Defence base there, will be speaking at Leeds Met University at 2pm. Later he will be visiting NSA Menwith Hill in the afternoon. Lindis Percy (Coordinator
the Campaign for the Accountability of American Bases – CAAB) will meet him in the afternoon (time to be confirmed)and then go on to show him NSA Menwith Hill.
