On Sunday 19th May, a Peace Pilgrimage left Iona, in Scotland. The pilgrims will be making their way – on foot – to the Houses of Parliament to protest the government’s plans to replace the Trident nuclear weapons system, particularly at a time of austerity and budget cuts to the NHS, schools, housing, benefits and other – socially beneficial – areas.
