Shut down US bases! Kick out Trump’s spy station!

With the campaign to shut down US bases growing, we’re putting the spotlight on RAF Menwith Hill, near Harrogate, in Yorkshire. Menwith Hill is the largest US overseas spy base in the world, capable of monitoring communications globally. The base is also part of the US’s National Missile Defence system. The system is made up of a global network of bases, designed to enable the US to use its nuclear weapons pre-emptively without fear of retaliation.
Join CND, Yorkshire CND and the Menwith Hill Accountability Campaign for this day of action on Saturday, 24 October when we’ll be saying no to Missile Defence, stop the new nuclear arms race and close down Menwith Hill!
The day will include a public meeting in Harrogate from 12 noon to 2pm. After a break, transport will take everyone to Menwith Hill for a protest at 3pm and return you back to Harrogate at 4pm.
Please note that it is essential that you register in advance, as we need to book transport to and from the base.
