We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to take on the established role of Development Worker at Yorkshire Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament.

The successful applicant will have a broad range of skills and experiences suited to this post to take over key campaigning work on a variety of CND’s core issues including Trident, Global Nuclear Weapons Abolition, Missile Defence and related peace issues. The regional ‘No to US Missile Defence’ campaign incorporates work at both the Menwith Hill and Fylingdales bases and inputs into the national CND campaigning strategy.

The ability to work independently is vital and previous experience in promoting and publicising groups and campaigns is important, as is experience with working with the media. Excellent communication skills are vital.

As well as proven experience in working with volunteers and mobilising groups and individuals, the successful applicant will have experience in working in a busy environment, overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day running of the office.
