The central image, ‘The Smiling Sun’ has historical significance as it was created in Denmark in the 70’s to symbolise international opposition of nuclear power. Over 20 million stickers were produced in 45 languages making it one of the most internationally recognised symbols in the world. Even the nuclear power industry has recognised the logo’s ‘power and success’.
