OK, so Yorkshire CND are looking after the Orange milestone at the Wool Against Weapons extravagaza – a 7 mile scarf between Aldermaston and Burghfield this Saturday! Knitter have been frantically working away for months, but now comes the moment where we need people to strench out along the length of the scarf. Below is a list of available places on day return transport to the event, I’ll remove places as they fill up so do keep us updated if you fill places. Cost is £25 (£15 concession) return unless indicated.
As of 4pm Today (Wednesday 6th) we have:
6 places from Leeds/Bradford:
Picking up at Yorkshire CND office 2 Ashgrove, Bradford at 6AM – then Leeds Station at 6.35AM
5 places from Manchester:
Picking up opposite Chorlton St bus station at 7.15AM – £20 return
1 place from the Dales:
Picking up at Settle 5AM, Skipton 5.20AM, Keighley 5.45AM, Bingley 6AM
There is also the potential of up to 4 places from Sheffield centre and Meadowhall as they can upgrade to a larger bus.
Transport will be returning at around 4PM the same day.
