DESCRIPTION:We’re celebrating our 5th anniversary by opening the doors to our brand new community gallery and garden space as part of Saltaire Festival. \n\n\n\nJoin us on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September for cocktails from The Gin Yard\, vinyl DJs\, and Printing for Peace on the press in collaboration with The Peace Museum. \n\n\n\nExhibitions running throughout the weekend: \n\n\n\nThe winners and runners up from the Saltaire Festival Poetry CompetitionFollowing another great poetry compition for Saltaire Festival\, we will be displaying the best chidren’s poems and the winning adult poems in the beautiful outdoor space at Salts Works. They all reflect the theme of Saltaire Seasons. \n\n\n\nPhotography from Joshua Hart‍Joshua Hart is a documentary photographer originally from Leicester\, currently based in Bradford. Exploring themes of place\, community and identity\, his photographic approach is clear and considered. \n\n\n\nLetterpress Album Artwork by Oli BentleyThe exhibition will showcase letterpress prints for album artwork created by Oli Bentley of design studio Split\, for a host of national and international musicians on the likes of Edition Records\, The Leaf Label and Real World Records. \n\n\n\nEd Toomey from Latent Terrain\, who has been working incredibly hard on designing and building the garden space\, will also be sharing some insights into how to create a drought- tolerant sand garden. \n\n\n\nThere will also be family friendly activites running throughout the weekend\, including printing posters on the press\, exploring themes of Peace\, in collaboration with The Peace Museum. These posters will be exhibited at The Peace Museum later this year. \n\n\n\nWe’re looking forward to celebrating with you all!

SUMMARY:WALK FOR PEACE - Fylingdales (SPONSORED WALK FUNDRAISER FOR YORKSHIRE CND)
DESCRIPTION:Do you want to help raise money for Yorkshire CND\, whilst also learning more about Yorkshire’s military bases? \n\n\n\nJoin us on 26th September (International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons) for a 6 mile walk around Fylingdales in the North York Moors. The starting point will be midday at The Hole of Horcum\, which is accessible by public transport via the 840 Coastliner bus from York & Leeds. \n\n\n\nWe encourage walkers to gain sponsors for the walk\, with any funds raised going towards the campaign work of Yorkshire CND. \n\n\n\nPlease fill out the form to express your interest in joining us. We can also assist with setting up a sponsorship page on GoFundMe and a physical form for you to share. \n\n\n\nIf you’d like more of a challenge\, why not show solidarity by doing another walk in the region e.g. the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge?
