They all reflect the theme of Saltaire Seasons. \n\n\n\nPhotography from Joshua Hart‍Joshua Hart is a documentary photographer originally from Leicester\, currently based in Bradford. Exploring themes of place\, community and identity\, his photographic approach is clear and considered. \n\n\n\nLetterpress Album Artwork by Oli BentleyThe exhibition will showcase letterpress prints for album artwork created by Oli Bentley of design studio Split\, for a host of national and international musicians on the likes of Edition Records\, The Leaf Label and Real World Records. \n\n\n\nEd Toomey from Latent Terrain\, who has been working incredibly hard on designing and building the garden space\, will also be sharing some insights into how to create a drought- tolerant sand garden. \n\n\n\nThere will also be family friendly activites running throughout the weekend\, including printing posters on the press\, exploring themes of Peace\, in collaboration with The Peace Museum. These posters will be exhibited at The Peace Museum later this year. \n\n\n\nWe’re looking forward to celebrating with you all!

DESCRIPTION:With the campaign to shut down US bases growing\, we’re putting the spotlight on RAF Menwith Hill\, near Harrogate\, in Yorkshire. Menwith Hill is the largest US overseas spy base in the world\, capable of monitoring communications globally. The base is also part of the US’s National Missile Defence system. The system is made up of a global network of bases\, designed to enable the US to use its nuclear weapons pre-emptively without fear of retaliation. \n\n\n\nJoin CND\, Yorkshire CND and the Menwith Hill Accountability Campaign for this day of action on Saturday\, 24 October when we’ll be saying no to Missile Defence\, stop the new nuclear arms race and close down Menwith Hill! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe day will include a public meeting in Harrogate from 12 noon to 2pm. After a break\, transport will take everyone to Menwith Hill for a protest at 3pm and return you back to Harrogate at 4pm. \n\n\n\nPlease note that it is essential that you register in advance\, as we need to book transport to and from the base.

DESCRIPTION:50 years after the Lucas Plan\, workers\, activists\, students & academics unite in Manchester\, 21 Nov 2026\, for socially useful production now \n\n\n\n50 years ago\, workers at the Lucas Aerospace arms company launched their pioneering Alternative Workers Plan. Faced with threats to their jobs\, workers at Lucas Aerospace responded with a visionary\, positive plan that challenged economic orthodoxy. \n\n\n\nThey proposed 150 detailed ideas for socially useful products the company could make\, such as heat pumps\, wind turbines and kidney machines\, instead of fighter jet parts. \n\n\n\nThe Lucas Plan became famous worldwide\, sparking other groups of workers to propose their own plans. In Italy today\, workers occupying the former GKN auto plant are putting those ideas into practice\, making cargo bikes and solar panels. \n\n\n\nSOCIALLY USEFUL PRODUCTION NOW! \n\n\n\nBrian Salisbury and Phil Asquith\, the surviving active members of the Lucas workers’ Combine say: \n\n\n\n“We’re inviting you to join us in Manchester\, not just to celebrate this anniversary\, but to help us build a new movement for socially useful production.
