Webinar: AFRICOM & Human Rights in Africa

4th December 2020 @ 7:00 pm

US military founded AFRICOM in 2008, despite majority of African nations rejecting it. Under a guise of security, the US uses its military to impose control of African land, resources + labour to serve U.S. multinationals.
There is little to no reporting on the US militarization of Africa. On December 4, 7pm GMT join us for what will be an eye-opening, fact-filled webinar about what the US military is really doing in Africa with @worldbeyondwar @Blacks4Peace & @WILPF_US.

The webinar on AFRICOM will feature first-hand accounts about the militarization of Africa. @JoyOnyesoh of WILPF will speak about Nigeria.
Writer & author Margaret Kimberley @freedomrideblog, representing Black Alliance For Peace, will explain their initiative Out of Africa: Shut Down AFRICOM
@SylvieNDONGMO, the Africa Region representative of WILPF, will speak about Cameroon @WilpfCameroon.
Investigative journalist Amanda Sperber @hysperbole will report on Somalia.
@christineodera, Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassador Network – Kenya Coordinator, will give insights on what’s happening in Kenya.
Marie-Claire Faray, currently living in the UK @UKWILPF, will speak about the Democratic Republic of the Congo
