Hiroshima and Nagasaki Vigil – Sheffield Creative Action for Peace & Sheffield CND

6 August @ 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm

We believe it is important to continue to mark the 75th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki so that the devastation to life caused by such weapons is not forgotten. We want to keep up the pressure against the continued and expanding investment in nuclear weaponry in the UK especially in this time of opportunity to build back something better in the post COVID 10 world.

We are therefore planning a short vigil outside the Town Hall at 12 noon on Thursday 6 August from which we will send messages of solidarity to the Mayors and peoples of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The event will conform to all current local and national guidance about safety so please wear a mask and conform to the advice on physical distancing.

Please join us if you can. Details are available on the Sheffield Creative Action for Peace Facebook page.
