Digging Deeper: Hope in a Violent World, David Gee in Huddersfield

3 October @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Free
Fantastic that David Gee is to give the 2019 Quaker Lecture.

Our deeply insecure times reflect a crisis of hope…as militarism displaces solidarity we’ll dig deeper to explore what hope can really mean beyond naive optimism, and why it matters.

Rethinking Security want a richer public debate about what security really means for people and planet. So they are developing new ideas and working with others to call for a national security strategy.

David Gee is a member of the Rethinking Security Council, and was also the lead author of the Rethinking Security discussion paper, which is central to the framing of our thinking and approach.

David is also a longstanding peace activist, author and poet.
