Wool Against Weapons is the new campaign that CND is supporting. If you haven’t heard, Wool Against Weapons is a campaign that aims to raise awareness of nuclear weapons by encouraging people to knit/crochet a meter square of pink scarf. We need about 2,000 pieces of knitting in order to create a seven-mile scarf that will connect AWE Aldermaston and AWE Burghfield on 9th August.

Yorkshire CND will be helping coordinate transport down the event at Burghfield, so if you are knitting, please think about coming along to help link your scarf.

We already have knitting groups in Skipton, Keighley and other areas, and are looking for more. So whether you can knit a section, or you would like to help coordinate more knitters and knit-ins in your area, get in touch.
