By 2016 the UK government will have the opportunity to either scrap or renew the UK’s Trident nuclear weapons system. Our campaign is seeking an experienced and dynamic campaigner with a proven track record to help us make nuclear disarmament a reality. The successful candidate will provide campaigns support on a number of key issues including Trident, Global Nuclear Weapons Abolition, Missile Defence and other related peace issues.
Working alongside a number of key partners including campaigning groups, student groups, Faith groups and Trade Unions they will work on a strategy to engage the local community and media on the issue of nuclear disarmament. Providing support and resources to a network of existing organisations you will also support and encourage the development of new groups.
Experience of working with the press, campaigns promotion, working independently, mobilising groups and individuals, and volunteer management are all essential for this post.
